THOUGHTS FOR CHRISTMAS

From Sister Loretta Cornell, MHSH President

A Christmas Prayer by Robert Louis Stevenson (1850 – 1894)

Loving Father, help us to remember the birth of Jesus,
That we may share in the song of angels,
The gladness of the shepherds,
And the worship of the wise men.

Close the door of hate and open the door of love
All over the world.
Let kindness come with every gift and good desires
With every greeting

Deliver us from evil by the blessing which Christ brings,
And teach us to be merry with clear hearts.
May the Christmas morning make us happy to be thy children,
And Christmas evening bring us to our beds with
grateful thoughts, forgiving and forgiven, for Jesus’ sake.

Amen.

At this Holy Season of Christmas, our memories and thoughts help us to remember the times we cherish with our loved ones and how grateful we are to you who make our ministry possible.

Thank you for your generosity of your spirit and love!
Who better than a child to show us the presence of Christ dwelling among us? May the grace and light of this holy season and the arrival of our Savior of humanity illumine the way to peace and joy in your heart and life that only the Son of God can bring.

Merry Christmas
